PAVE Announces 2017 Bergmeyer Scholarship Recipient

Hollywood, Fla. (March, 21 2017)—The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) has awarded Alex Bean from Parsons School of Design as the 2017 Bergmeyer Scholarship recipient. This scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in the Interior Design and Architecture field through a $2,500 award.

“In collaboration with PAVE, Bergmeyer would like to congratulate Alex Bean from the Parsons School of Design at The New School, the recipient of the 2017 Bergmeyer Scholarship. We extend our appreciation to all of the talented design students from 14 colleges and universities across the country that submitted applications for the second annual Bergmeyer Scholarship with PAVE.  From among the diverse field of candidates, Bergmeyer would like to particularly recognize Alex for her unmistakable creative potential,“ - said Rachel Zsembery, Vice President at Bergmeyer.

The PAVE Scholarship Program, now in its eighth year, provides financial assistance to students in educational programs preparing them for careers in the retail environments industry, including but not limited to careers in retail design and planning, and visual merchandising industries. PAVE was developed to help ensure a future talent pool for the industry by eliminating barriers to studying in these fields. The funds assist students who are experiencing financial difficulties that may prevent them from continuing school. PAVE has awarded over $175,000 in financial grants over the past seven years to students.
